Mercy MediTrans Taxi, LLC provides transportation. When a ride is connected to a medical appointment, you may share limited health-related information with us, such as an appointment location or the need for extra help getting in and out of the vehicle.
What we ask for
We collect only what we need to provide a safe ride: names, contact details, pickup and drop-off addresses, times, and any assistance the passenger needs. We do not need, and ask you not to send, diagnoses, test results or other medical records.
How we protect it
- Booking information is shared only with the dispatcher and driver handling the trip.
- Our website uses encrypted connections (HTTPS).
- Access to our booking system is limited to authorized staff.
- Staff and drivers are instructed to keep passenger information confidential.
Rides arranged through healthcare providers
If a healthcare provider or health plan arranges your ride, we handle the information they send us according to our agreement with them and applicable law, including HIPAA where it applies.
