Terms and Conditions

These terms apply when you book a ride or delivery with Mercy MediTrans Taxi, LLC through our website, by phone or by message. By booking, you agree to them.

Bookings

A booking is confirmed when you receive a confirmation from us. Please give accurate pickup and drop-off details and a phone number where we can reach you or the passenger.

Fares and payment

Fares are calculated from distance, time and our current rates, plus any airport fees, tolls or waiting time. The estimated fare is shown before you confirm. Changes to the route, extra stops or extended waiting may change the final fare. You can pay online by card or pay the driver where that option is offered.

Changes and cancellations

Please contact us as early as possible to change or cancel a booking. Late cancellations, cancellations after a driver has been assigned or dispatched, and no-shows may be charged. Waiting time

Mercy Taxi provides the first 5 minutes of waiting time at pickup free of charge. After 5 minutes, our current recurring waiting-time rate applies. This rate is disclosed before your booking is confirmed.

Passenger conduct

For everyone’s safety, drivers may refuse or end a ride if a passenger is abusive, unsafe, or damages the vehicle. Passengers are responsible for cleaning or repair costs they cause. Seat belts must be worn. Children must travel in an appropriate child seat as required by New York law.

Deliveries

Do not send illegal, hazardous or perishable items, cash or items of extraordinary value. We record the recipient’s name and signature at delivery. Our liability for lost or damaged items is limited to the delivery fare unless agreed otherwise in writing.

Lost items

Call us as soon as possible if you leave something in a vehicle. We will do our best to return it, but we are not responsible for personal belongings left behind.

Liability

We are not responsible for delays caused by traffic, weather, road closures or other events outside our control. To the extent allowed by law, our liability is limited to the fare paid for the trip.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York.
